The Demise of L Block

L Block was originally B Block but was given its new designation by Senior Master Ian Wilson late last century. In 1957 when the School first opened, B Block contained the original single classroom Library with books on loan from the National Library Service.

Thank you to the Red Cross

Since 2013 Shirley Boys' High School has distributed $146,000 in Red Cross funding to help ease the cost of learning for students whose families have been affected by the earthquakes.

The Hartley Gymnasium under construction

Lilliam Hartley, one of the School’s great benefactors.
