SPS Newsletter - 13 September 2017

Kia ora

This past weekend I was reliving some of my youth and the playlist from an album or more accurately a cassette of the 80’s, Diesel and Dust by Midnight Oil. It was an excellent few hours from a band that can still put on a brilliant 2 hour show. At the same time a bunch of you were enjoying our first ever Spring Fling. Thanks to the efforts of Candice and her merry band of helpers - I understand it was a great night and achieved its main goal. That of hosting an event for the whole community to enjoy.

I have made a couple of comments further on in the newsletter about arriving at school and what time is ideal for your child/ren and also for us. Please take a couple of minutes to read and if it applies to you and your we would deeply appreciate some action.

Also in this edition of this well read and eagerly anticipated epistle is an article that summarises the findings from the parent survey we set out earlier this term. We received a 30% response rate for this and got some great thinking and suggestions. The Board and I thank you very much if you were able to submit a response. It adds to the data we can use to think about 2018 and beyond. It also tells us quite clearly what you think we are doing well and need to keep doing. So thanks, your input is much appreciated.
