Newsletter Week 10, Term 2, 2021

Kia ora e te whānau,

Ngā mihi o Matariki, te tau hou Māori!

This is the last week (and newsletter) for Term 2. We hope that over the next two weeks you are able to have some quality family time together - relaxing as a family really helps recharge the battery!

Speaking of the school holidays, here’s an idea, have you ever been to Mangaonua gully? This is the gully that runs behind our school - entrance at the bottom of Silverdale Road near Morrinsville Road. The team of conservationists have put a lot of work into restoring this gully over the past few years - and it’s a great little walk! You’d even be welcome to meet on Thursdays and get stuck in to help! Check out their website here for more information.

It has been great to see so many parents, caregivers and families in and out of school this week as various classes have celebrated Matariki. Thanks for coming in and sharing in the learning that’s been going on. There are events on throughout the month of July around our fantastic city, check out the Matariki Waikato website here for information on what’s on throughout the school holidays.

Looking forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday, 26 July. Remember - last day of school this term is this Thursday, 8 July.
