It is very hard to believe that we are in Week 6 of Term 3! This year seems to be flying by at an enormous pace. There has been quite a bit of change and disruption over the course of the year, but our amazingly resilient and keen learners are still making the most of every opportunity. Even though many of our inter-school competitions and other opportunities have had to be postponed or cancelled - we are making the most of the events we are able to continue on with.
Thank you to all of our community for your continued flexibility and understanding through this time. We are so looking forward to hosting community events again at school and being able to gather together as a whānau.

Help us keep our children safe!
Please DO NOT park on the yellow lines or in our school staff carpark. We have noticed an increasing number of people stopping on the yellow lines outside the school frontage on Silverdale Road when dropping their children off to school. Parents are also using the staff carpark next to the Student Common room.

Mud Play
Last Friday afternoon the New Entrants made the most of our wet weather and enjoyed some muddy puddle play. They engaged their five senses, observed if items could float or sink, checked the depth of some puddles and then went puddle jumping!

We are still having to contact parents to bring spare clothing to school for children who have fallen over in the wet and the mud.

Lost Property
Please remember to regularly check our lost property for your children's clothes. This is kept in two large containers inside the foyer next to Room 6. It is displayed outside Mrs Curry's Office on fine days.

Project Energize - Sport Waikato
Nuggets are provided by Zane Hartley - Hamilton Energizer. Team Energize work to educate, inform and support schools and their communities to eat healthily. Their key goals are to improve the quality of food brought to school from home, promote and encourage water and milk as best 'our first choice' drinks, make breakfast a healthy everyday habit and increase the consumption of fruit and vegetables.

Enrolments for Berkley Normal Middle School
All 2021 enrolments are due at the Berkley Office by 4.00pm today, Wednesday, 26th August. This includes both in-zone and out-of-zone enrolments. Out-of-zone enrolments must be received at the Berkley office by today to be eligible for the enrolment ballot.
