Newsletter Week 10, Term 1, 2022

Kia ora e te whānau

Welcome to the FIRST newsletter of 2022! From here on out, a newsletter will be published every fortnight (normally on a Wednesday) and is a great place to keep up with school events and see what's happening here at Silverdale.

I'd also like to take the opportunity to WELCOME all of our new families to the community!

The year has started off so well! So many happy learners (and staff members!!) pleased to be back and getting stuck into the classroom programmes. I have loved going around the classes and hearing the buzz of learning and discovery.

COVID 19 restrictions:

As you will be aware - there have been changes to government expectations around restrictions. We have chosen to continue with our cautious approach and will not be making any changes to our systems or processes at this stage. The Board of Trustees will be discussing our next steps and completing a school wide safety review to determine any changes to our current systems. We appreciate the way our school community has supported our kura to date with our safety measures and procedures. We can't wait till we are able to invite everybody back onsite soon - I am sure this day will not be too far away.

We are also looking forward to being able to host school and community events again - it has been such a long time since we have been able to gather together and build community!

As always, we are here to help! If you would like to talk to me about anything - please feel free to get in touch with me directly by calling the office, or emailing, michaelh@silverdale.school.nz.

Upcoming Dates:
