There have been two exciting appointments in our community this month.

Despite the rather abysmal wintery weather, members of our 1959 1st XV enjoyed coming together to watch SBC beat St Andrews in a home turf rugby cliffhanger on 17 June.

Some people finish high school then never return to the classrooms and hallways that played such a significant part in their educational journey. Then there are those dedicated few who do return and get paid to be there!

2023 marks two very special milestones in the history of the St Bede's College yearbook.

For the Community Office, one of the great things about putting a school reunion together is having regular contact with, and getting to know, old boys who are part of a reunion cohort. Those who volunteer to help us coordinate a reunion are absolutely vital to the success of these events. One such old boy who has been doing a stellar job in the reunion committee space this year is 1977's Head Prefect Tim Draper.

Year 13 boarding students Michael Blunt and Zander McCloy are both finalists in the Junior Young Farmer of the Year competition.

The St Bede's squash team has made a strong return, and two former Bedeans have plans to revive the sport to its former glory.
