The leavers’ gift is a long-standing tradition at St Paul’s and acts as a reminder of the student’s time at school. This year's leavers gift was unveiled on the second-to-last day of school.

As 2019 winds to a close Headmaster Grant Lander reflects on a year that has seen a number of milestone events in the school's history - the most recent of which was the installation of The Journey, a sculpture by world-renowned kiwi artist Paul Dibble.

The efforts of this year's service cohort - and in particular Year 13 student Daniel Rickman - have been recognised by World Vision New Zealand.

The service team once again partnered with the Hamilton Refugee Orientation Trust to host their annual Christmas party for the city's newest and most vulnerable residents.

St Paul’s year 13 student Kaitlyn Sosa, has been selected to compete for the New Zealand swimming team in December 2019.

The mathematics department has increased their numbers with the arrival of Paul Cakebread at the start of term four.

This two-day event was staged in Hamilton with over 320 shooters from all areas of New Zealand competing.

On Saturday 12 October 2019, four teams competed in the Motu Challenge, one of the North Island's biggest multisport events. The race consisted of a 67km mountain bike, 17km run, 55km road bike, 27km kayak, 12km road bike and finishing with a 3km run.

St Paul's top orators are given the opportunity to sit both the Speech NZ and Trinity College of London examinations.
