At the start of this term Room 14 had the pleasure of presenting an ANZAC item to the school which was a fabulous way of concluding it's ANZAC and Treaty of Waitangi units both of which started in Term 1.

Miss Cooper liked Tahuna so much as a College Teacher she decided to come back and start her teaching career here.

Unfortunately the online system we have been using has been withdrawn by its provider.

There is plenty going on at Tahuna already this term.

Four members of the Highlanders came to Tahuna on Thursday to answer questions and play touch.

As usual Mrs Burrows our Librarian has supported our focus on Anzac Day through creating a fantastic display of the many books and other resources she has in the library to support student's learning about this subject. 

On Thursday Year 6 students from our contributing schools arrived at Tahuna ready for some hands on, exciting science in the Science Lab with Mrs Atkinson. 

2015 marks the first time Tahuna has been involved in the Dunedin Schools Volleyball competition. 6 teams represented Tahuna and all improved out of sight and had a lot of fun!!

The weather was wild, but room 13 started the term in the best way possible....at Camp!!

The biggest ever Tahuna team recently competed in the Otago Primary Schools Swimming Champs. Here are the results.

It's the start of another full on term at Tahuna for our year 7 students  with a big focus on class camps & Science topics.

Chemistry, Swimming, and Standing Up for Myself are the major topics for Year 8.

The start of Term 2 also means the start of the Tahuna Elective programme. At the end of last term all students selected four options and will be involved in one of these every Friday of the term.  

The year has been flying by. Our Year Eight Students have now completed their first unit on Compound Curves. The Year Sevens have one more round of Key Rings before we start on Pencil Holders.

Ngai Tahu will pay for one term of tuition at Number Works n Words for students who are registered with Ngai Tahu. For more information please see Karyn in the office.

Matt Clarkson recently represented Otago in the Junior Shield tournament against Southland in Invercargill yesterday.

Morgane Torr  competed over the school holidays, she attended 2 Highland Dancing competitions and did rather well in both.

Year 8 Food Technology students will be baking up a storm using Fairtrade ingredients and all of these delicious items will be sold at lunch time.
