Message from Tony

Kia ora koutou,

Welcome to our many new families that joined our school community this week. With the mid-term 3 cohort of new entrants starting in Pūkeko Tahi, our school roll is now 460.

Many of you will have noticed our school mentioned in the news earlier this month, with the funds set aside for our classroom expansion project being used to help fund the secondary teachers pay settlement. This was not a surprise to us, as we had already shared the news that our additional classrooms may not be required, much earlier in the year. With our school zone mostly developed, we are seeing the rapid growth experienced in 2019-2023 starting to stablilise, which we are more than happy about, as believe our school roll size now is the perfect size!

We are nearing the end of Winter, and looking forward to (hopefully) some warmer and sunnier weather, just in time for our new playspaces to open (hopefully within the next couple of weeks)

Warm regards,

Tony
