Covid-19 Update

Many of you will have heard the news that the Covid isolation period has been removed by the Government. Below is still the key advice, and our recommendations as a school to try and keep our students/staff as safe as we can.

Unfortunately in settings such as schools, various bugs/illnesses can spread quickly, let alone something as contagious as COVID. While the mandated 7 day isolation period has been removed, below is still the key advice from the Ministry of Health (taken from their website):

Isolation still remains an effective way to reduce the spread of COVID and protect those at higher risk of more severe illness.

We strongly recommend people with COVID continue to isolate for at least five days – even if they only have mild symptoms. This means you should not go to work or school.

After 5 days, if your symptoms have resolved and you feel well, you can return to your normal activities.

In advance, we appreciate our families following these guidelines, so we can try and avoid some of the high levels of Covid related illness we have faced in students/staff over the last 2 years.

Winter Sport Wrap Up

As our Winter Sports season comes to end, we would like to take the time to acknowledge our coaches, managers and parents who supported our students during some particularly cold & wet games!

Without parent support, we would not be able to enter these teams and we sincerely appreciate it.

A special "shout out" to Charlotte & Emma who are High School students that volunteered their time to coach our Year 5/6 Netball team.
