Diwali

Next week we will celebrate & learn about Diwali as a school, and we encourage students to wear their own cultural dress or bright colours/sparkles on Tuesday 14th November.

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most popular Hindu festivals.

The importance of recognising and celebrating cultural diversity is a strong message in The New Zealand Curriculum, with Cultural diversity being one of eight key principles. This week our students will be learning more about Diwali

As a very culturally diverse school (currently we have 47 countries represented), this is something very important and special to us.
