Tēna koutou katoa, warm greetings to you all as we move just past the halfway point of term 2! Despite the cooler days and a myriad of winter bugs well and truly upon us, we are all progressing successfully through another fantastic term of learning and positive experiences at Te Ao Mārama.

Our recent 'Te Ao Mārama has Talent' show was the biggest yet with an even larger number of whānau and friends who proudly came in to support our confident and creative kids!

We welcomed our latest new entrant cohort - the fourth one so far this year to Pūkeko Tahi and proudly wore our Pjyamas on PJ day as part of our annual winter clothing collection for local charity ‘Clothe our Kids Waikato’. Being so proudly community minded, this term we will also start to collect non perishable food items for our families who stay at Ronald Mcdonald House, Starship Hospital.

And as the term draws to a close we will look forward to celebrating Matariki. Look out for notifications from your child’s learning space as to ways you can celebrate this magical time with your school, whānau and friends.

So much to celebrate and to look forward to this term! In the meantime stay warm and well everyone. E noho ra.

Anna Pratt
