Matariki Night Hīkoi (Walk)

To celebrate Matariki, we will once again be running our Matariki Night Hīkoi at school between Monday 24th - Sunday 30th June.

Te Ao Mārama families and the community are welcome to come into our school during the evenings to enjoy the window displays from outside each learning community.

This year Matariki (the beginning of the new year in the Māori lunar calendar) falls on Friday 28th June, marking the reappearance of the constellation. This date is also a statutory holiday, so school will be closed.

You can begin the walk at the office/admin area where the instructions and school map will be displayed on the window. There will be information about the different stars at each location
