TKHS Newsletter - Term 4 : Week 8

Korero from Gareth

As we near the end of this academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey together. This year has been filled with remarkable achievements, challenges we've overcome and memories that will stay with us for years to come. From our Anything-but-a Bag Day early in the year, to our awesome senior prizegiving a couple of weeks ago.

I am incredibly proud of our students and staff for their ongoing dedication, hard work and resilience throughout this year. Despite another disrupted start to the year, we rallied to have a much more settled and successful second half of the year.

As we approach the conclusion of this year, I want to remind our students to finish strong. I touched on this in the last newsletter. To make the most of these remaining days to continue to work to the best of their abilities, complete their mahi and celebrate their accomplishments. Their determination and effort have brought us to this point and I have no doubt that they will finish the year on a high note.

Next Friday we have our junior prizegiving which gives us the opportunity to publicly share the achievements of our students, to acknowledge the talents and hard work that has been evident in all aspects of our school.

To our Year 10s, as they prepare to embark on a new journey, next year starting their NCEA programs let's make these final days count. Cherish the moments, celebrate your achievements and bid farewell to this academic year with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
