What a great start to the miniball season. We have 2 teams of year 3 and 4 players.

On Tuesday 25 October, Te Pā o Rākaihautū and myself- Whaea Dot, Acting tūmuaki of 'Te Kura o Tuahiwi' were welcomed with open arms with a powhiri at our beautiful marae, 'Maahunui 2' by our lovely Tuahiwi whānau.
We have lots of exciting things happening between now and the end of Term 4. Please mark your calendar with these dates to remember, more information on events will come out in due course via Facebook, HERO or our fortnightly Pānui.
Yesterday Piwaka went on a class haerenga to Ōruapaeroa to learn more about mahinga kai in Ōtautahi.
Friday 18th November
On Thursday, the 20th of October, Puaka travelled to Huria Reserve in Kaiapoi to partake in a Planting Day as part of their Kaupapa this term, Māhinga Kai. Whilst at the reserve the tamariki engaged in various planting activities;

Today our Tamariki from Whitireia had an amazing opportunity to attend Frozen in Te Reo Māori at Northlands Hoyts.
