On 02 March, Tauranga Girls’ College held our annual Swimming Sports event. Unfortunately we were unable to hold a full school Swimming Sports this year due to COVID, however, the traditional swimming competition that took place was packed full of House spirit, good sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

Last year, two Year 11 Art classes were tasked with creating new murals for our school walls that, first of all, work cohesively with our previous work, and secondly, blended well with the school and our school values.

Tuesday 8th of March was International Women’s Day, and Tauranga Girls’ College celebrated the occasion with a non-uniform day and some awesome activities.

As a kura we value your support and the important role you play in the learning and education of your young person. Our expectations are that you can support us as we seek to ensure our learners are at school on time or if they are absent, that this absence is explained.

Emma has just been offered PhD positions in Astrophysics at Nottingham and Oxford Universities, England (and is waiting to hear back from Cambridge University !!).
