Fusion in the Sun is a four piece band from Timaru Boys’ High School featuring Harry Hollyer (vocals & guitar), Cameron Ellis (lead guitar and bass), David Ellis (keys & bass) and Farran Landers (drum kit).

Accolades to the family trio of Taine, Cody and Will Gibson who have excelled this season in the New Zealand Waterski National Championships held at Lake Crichton, winning a credible four New Zealand titles amongst them. Results are as follow:

As part of the standard review process, the Board of Trustees is currently reviewing the school Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.

In the week beginning 18 April, Riley Taylor (Year 11) and Jack Sands (Year 10) attended the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships in Wellington. 

This event was held in Ashburton and well supported with twelve teams in the boys draw. Our team of Harry Hollyer, Hamish Murdoch and Stephen Garner was relatively inexperienced but potentially very competitive.

Christchurch Boys’ High School proved superior in their annual winter sports exchange with Timaru Boys’ High School taking out the exchange by 6.6 to 1.5.

Timaru Boys’ High School was again the proud host of the annual Aoraki Secondary Schools Archery Competition, held in Hogben Hall.

The Thomas House Hostel Parents’ AGM was held on 5 April and was attended by twelve parents. Office Bearers this year are: 

 Thank you to the parents who have reared calves or grazed calves/cattle for this fundraiser. 

As we work toward the redevelopment of Thomas House Boarding Hostel, our committee of Virginia Callaghan, Warren Leslie, Karla Yeatman, Susan Coker, Hamish Sheed, Vicki Rollinson, Sue McNulty and Colin Murdoch have been holding regular meetings throughout the year.
