2024 Race Unity Speech Awards

Te Taura Tangata – The Rope of Unity
    by Cathy Shearer

Senior students in year 11, 12 and 13 are invited to participate in the Race Unity Speech Awards – an initiative designed to give students a forum for expressing their views about how to improve race relations in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

It is an opportunity to add your voice to, and advance the discussion, of Race Relations in Aotearoa. You will be well supported, challenged, at the very least, you will be rewarded for your bravery by gaining a large dose of self-pride, by feeling the fear, and doing it anyway. If you are the local champion, you will go on to represent your school as our South Canterbury District CHAMPION, in Auckland. You will have a free flight to participate in the National Championship Awards in Auckland, and have an opportunity to win $1,000 for yourself, and $1000 for your School.

*Employers and Tertiary educators look for efforts towards challenging yourself in uncomfortable situations and self-improvement.

* Public speaking is an integral need for entrepreneurs.

* Self-growth? We can 100%, money back guarantee, you’ll achieve that!

If you just want a chat, please call Viki on 027 327 2699. Check out this link for further information, or senior students can talk to their Learning Adviser, or Mrs Shearer in the Library.

The deadline for registration is Friday 15 March via this link.
