Following recent publicity in the media we wish to assure parents that this school (and its staff) works hard with families, agencies, experts and the Ministry of Education to respond to the needs of all learners. Parents are an important ingredient in any solution and opportunity. As per our concerns and complaints policy we welcome the opportunity to discuss any concern and co-design the way forward. Staffing for 2018
Following Graeme's retirement from principalship at the end of this year the Board has appointed Adrienne Simpson as Acting Principal for Terms 1 & 2 so that it can scope the schools direction and initiate an employment process. This now means that Brenda Fordyce will continue as Acting DP and Megan Watson as Acting AP at the same time.
For family reasons we lose the services of Sarah Barkle who has resigned and also Fiona Webber from today as her 2nd child is about to enter this world. In thanking them both for their significant contribution to Woodend we also wish them the best for the future!!
We are in the middle of employing some fixed term teacher positions to cover the vacancies.
