This year a group of 25 student leaders attended a 3 day camp at the Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre.

On the 16th March, our Polyfest group took to the stage at the SPACPAC Polyfest, featuring a total of 78 students spanning from year 9 to year 13, representing various cultures.

Zoe Croot was recently selected as a member of the Environment Canterbury Youth Rōpū!

Over the past few months, Phoebe Hunt our Co-Head of Sport at Avonside, has competed in several trial races and has been selected amongst 6 females and 6 males for the New Zealand U20 JWOC (Junior Worlds Orienteering Champs) team.

Issy returned home from the Netherlands at the end of February after two weeks of training.

Nikita Maulgue (Yr 12) and Georgia Stewart (Yr 13) represented out school extraordinarily well at the VEX Robotics Nationals over the weekend.

A number of students from our football community attended the football ferns game against Thailand on Saturday, 7 April.

Avonside entered a student-directed scene in the Sheila Winn Shakespeare festival this year, which took place at Middleton Grange School towards the end of Term 1.
