Kia Ora Year 8 Whanau

It is almost the end of Term and it has been a very busy one for both our students and teachers. We will be completing our PBL projects over the next week and hope to share some of the great work with you also.

Congratulations to the Balmacewen chess team for winning the Otago - Southland Chess Championship.

School photos will now take place on Tuesday 5th July. All students need to have their correct school uniform including their school jersey, correct socks and shoes as per the school website for this photograph please.

Students develop and idea to explore the concept of Pets; real or imagined. The design and create an armature which they then paper mache and paint. The success skills they focus on are, "Problem-solving& Persevering" and "Be Creative."

The third group of year 7's are just finishing up their time in the foods room.

This season has started out well. We have played 5 games so far.

The Intermediate hockey season is well underway...

The second group of Year 8 students made their pies over the last 2 weeks.

Its cold outside but the spark of learning is burning hot in the workshop.

Term 2 has been a busy and productive term for the School Council.

Mid term reports will be sent home to parents and caregivers on Friday 1st July. Following these we have parent/teacher interviews scheduled from Monday 4th July to Thursday 7th July. Please book an interview using the details below... Bookings close midday Saturday 2nd July.
