On the last Wednesday of Term 4, 34 Year 9 students spent the morning working with Nature Agents, aquatic ecologists, sampling a small section of the Ōtākaro/Avon River.

10 Piwakawaka and 10 Pukeko have been studying the theme of aiming high in their English classes and looking at ways to give back to the community.

On Monday, November 30th we asked our 2021 School Prefects to come into school for an induction session.

Congratulations to Lola Bryson-Boe and Holly M Smith who represented CGHS in the Canterbury Secondary Schools Triathlon race last weekend.

Last Thursday our Junior Water Polo team headed to Jellie Park for their first game in the South Island Secondary Schools Junior Water Polo tournament.

CGHS has three sports teams contesting at national tournaments next weekend.

On Friday the 27th of November, our junior Kī-o-rahi team participated in the Canterbury Secondary Schools Kī-o-rahi tournament at Ngā Puna Wai.

Shoe Clinic director, Shaun Farrell, visited school on Wednesday to present the first benefits from the scheme to Sports Coordinator, Bee Rüder.
