School life is very busy at the moment and we are celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. Our kapahaka and Māori students put on an outstanding concert in the auditorium on Wednesday and our whānau committee have run a range of activities centred around te reo.

On 8th September the First XV rugby team flew to Palmerston North for rugby nationals. The top 4 girls' and the top 4 boys' school teams from around the country were competing for the National title.

Kiwaha posters, tikanga posters and language cards with kupu and phrases for staff were made and distributed around the kura.

In 2022, Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Hockey was again successful across the board. It was great to see 8 teams entered into the Canterbury competition this year, including a social team and 2 Year 9 teams.

On the 9th of September our Social Studies class 10 BOJ, held a sausage sizzle to fundraise for World Vision and their goal to provide fresh and clean water to people in need.

Nau Mai ki Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2022. We have celebrated Māori language week in the library from 12 to 16 September 2022.

Our Jasmine Glennie (Yr 12) has made the shortlist of 30 from thousands and thousands of entries all around the world for a monumental scholarship!

Kia ora Christchurch Girls' High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora Whānau. Coming up in week 10 we have our Royal Variety Show at school in the PAC Thursday 29th September.
