Year 2-3 students have been experimenting with different ways to paint.

International events over the last month have highlighted a number of contexts of persistent racial prejudice. In Chapel today, we took the opportunity to reflect on our own situation and to consider what we might do to build intercultural understanding and respect.

Further to the success of Isobel Fraser, Abby Bowmar and Penelope Hare making up the Otago/Southland team (the first time in debating that all three regional representatives have been from the same school), Isobel has gained a place on the national team.

On Thursday, the Year 12 Art students visited the Dunedin School of Art to view the 2020 Top Art exhibition.

From next Monday, 29th of June, students may enter the school grounds through any of the school gates.

Following more successful writing, some Year 8 students have had their work published in the ODT EXTRA! Magazine or will be in the next issue.

The 2020 SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival went online this year due to Covid 19.

Parent Teacher Interviews for students in Years 7-13 will be held on Tuesday 30th of June for day girls and Friday 3rd of July for boarders.

Hannah Clarke, student leader of Columba’s Enviroclub and our Environment Prefect, decided she would not waste any opportunities during lockdown, so she applied for the Dunedin City Council’s Waste Minimisation Community Project/Initiative grant.

The National Council of Women exist to work towards true gender equality in Aotearoa New Zealand. Where once New Zealand led in gender equality, we are now ranked 9th world wide.
