This is an evening for all Year 10, 11 and 12 students and whānau to find out about NCEA and the course selection process.

On Thursday 8 September the Level 2 & 3 geography students spent the day out at Rapahoe, Barrytown and Punakaiki Beaches gathering data for their research standard based on beach processes.

On Monday, 5th September the Level 1 geography students traveled to view the Alpine Fault (AF) at various locations in the Grey District.

Over the past year and a half, myself and a group of passionate conservation students who study Conservation and Earthcare at the West Coast Trades Academy through Papa Taiao and Greymouth High School have led a project called, Trees for Māwhera.

Last week our senior students who enrolled in the Employment and Life Skills Trades course had the chance to have a go at abseiling. There were some incredibly proud students with overcoming their fears to give this a go.

On Wednesday 7 September, a number of our Gateway and other senior students completed a First Aid course.

On Monday 19 September, GHS welcomed Ron Rutland and Adam Nun as part of their "Race to Rugby World Cup".
