We have been enjoying the lovely weather this week at school and it has been great seeing our children playing and learning outside.

The start of the school day is so important for our tamariki.

Another awesome few weeks in Teina! We are so excited to be heading off to swimming at Northern Arena over the next two weeks. Our Year 4 Camp is also coming up next term which our Year 4 children are so excited for.

Museum Visit in Term 2 We are extremely excited to confirm that our wonderful year 5 and 6 Tamariki will be visiting Auckland Museum on the 23rd (year 5) and 24th May (year 6). This visit will be based around our Science-Based inquiry for next term, looking at animal evolution, plus adaptation.

Parents will receive a notification via email next week with regards to booking a suitable time slot. Interviews are 10 minutes long, please make sure you arrive on time to enable the interview times to run smoothly for all families.

With people travelling overseas again, there’s a risk that someone with measles could unknowingly bring the disease back to Aotearoa.

‘Thinking Caps for Kids’ are offering special programmes supporting the development of literacy skills which can be accessed during school time, at school, on a cost basis. As a result of our confidence in Thinking Caps for Kids, we are prepared to allow children to be released from class to take part in this programme.
