Two OED201 classes recently had their last two excursions of the year. They consisted of an overnight camp and day tramp at Mangawhai Heads and a day at Snow Planet.

Blaze Nicholas took place in the recent science fair and his investigation on the Mighty Mullet and the sea grass gained him a highly commended Best Year 9 Scientific Investigation Award.

This is a small piece from a student, Toby Hynes, who attended the trip to the Auckland Writers Festival on Tuesday, 23rd August along with 26 other students Years 9 - 13.

Last week our Whangarei Composite Rugby team took on Whangarei Boys High School 1st XV in their pool play game for the Mid Week 1st XV Competition which was a real nailbiter.

The beginning of September saw our Tournament Week teams away competing at their various tournaments.

The Mayor and the owner of CANAM acknowledged their presence as students of Kamo High School. They had a nice time and met women from similar but different industries working in Infrastructure, including a representative from MOE.
