We were treated to a great evening of Drama and Fashion in August.

Congratulations to Ahi Kaitai-Mullane and Oscar McGuire for their Class Act Awards.

The year 12 Physical Education classes completed two Achievement Standards (7 credits) at the Remarkables ski field. 

The Senior O’MAthalon Competition was held in our school Library with 30 teams from 11 local secondary school competing. 

Ten weeks of intense but fun Interhouse Futsal in Term 3 has seen Omimi named as the overall Futsal champions with their juniors winning and the seniors second place. 

Congratulations to our Year 9 Scholarship recipients. 

The combined Year 13 classes had a day focused on evolution and how it formed the Dunedin marine environment at the Marine Studies Centre at Portobello. 

George Sabonadière participated in the 2017 secondary schools essay competition organised by the Association of Former Members of Parliament. The judges commended his essay and placed it fourth in the competition.  

Our students have been busy training and competing across a range of sports, including Curling.

In July, Alex Hall attended an intensive Theatre camp in America.

Congratulations to Lorna Ryan who has won an Otago Polytechnic Scholarship. Lorna was awarded her scholarship in August at the Polytechnic's School of Design Secondary Schools' Awards Exhibition for Year 12 and 13 students. 

Extra! is a newspaper magazine published by the Otago Daily Times and gives students the opportunity to submit their writing in an annual short story and poetry writing competition. 

Oscar McGuire has been chosen to represent NZ in the 2018 Global Development Tour.

At the start of Term 3 we welcomed 4 new international students from Germany.

Students in our Learning Support Class have enjoyed visits from Nick Souquet's amazing rabbit.

We enjoyed showcasing the school during Open Days in July. 

We enjoyed hosting 15 students from Wakamatsu High School in Japan in July.
