Interested in Football? Try out the free street football at Burnside High School on their Netball Courts opposite Jellie Park on a Friday afternoon for a four-week block. With the first one starting in March.
Street Football is played on outdoor Netball, Basketball or Tennis Courts and all players must wear appropriate footwear for playing on outdoor hard courts. Itâs a rock up and play version of football, no coaching involved just encouragement. Children can show up with friends in teams or as individuals and make new friends. Itâs basically just an hour and a half of running around and starting to understand the basics of football and general play. Below are all the details plus a registration link.
Age Groups: 9 to 12 years
Dates: March 1st â March 22nd (4 weeks)
Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm

English Language Classes
We here at St Christopherâs are a church family from every continent! UK & China, Australia & Europe, SE Asia, Africa, Middle East, Indian Sub-continent & the USA, and Tanga te Whenua⊠yet we are one people, Godâs family and His church. Everyone is welcome â there is room at the table!
In helping our kiwi families from other lands who do not speak English with confidence, we host free informal English lessons, designed around normal âget alongâ and thrive in New Zealand society. We have dozens of people in our classes. There is no expectation or requirement to join, other than wanting to become more confident.
Our classes are led by qualified education professionals and they have a team of people committed to walk with you in gaining confidence. We hold our classes on once weekly, both morning and evening, for 90minutes during school terms.
