Principal’s Message

by Sue Cattell

I couldn’t resist using another photo of the children enjoying the new playground as the feature photo. The joy and fun they are having is so evident. This really is a great addition to our outdoor learning environment and we know that playgrounds provide a place for children to work off energy, have fun, and interact with others. They are a great learning environment to develop physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

SHAVE FOR A CURE!

by Admin

We are in awe of one of our Year 6 students, Beth Thomson, who has shown the Learner Profile attributes of being Caring, Principled and a Risk-taker! In the summer school holidays, Beth learned about the Shave for a Cure fundraiser, for New Zealanders with Leukaemia and Blood Cancer, and decided to participate and raise funds for this important cause. Beth gathered sponsorship, with a goal of $580, and has now exceeded this by collecting over $600 to date! Beth had her hair shaved off, and came to school this year with her cool new cut!

by Ellen von Collas

Love ice cream? Please hold on to your empty 2 litre ice-cream tubs over the summer break and bring them to Mrs von Collas in Room 19 so they can be re-used for our new Enviro recycling initiative. T-shirts too small? Please send t-shirts that no longer fit to Room 19 also, so they can be repurposed. Many thanks.
