What a fabulous week our students have had exploring all things Literacy this week.

What an amazing start to Thursday morning, and a great way to celebrate Literacy Week, with our Book Character Parade.

On Tuesday the 10th September, every staff member and student at Milford School walked out to Shakespeare Road to take part in Te Reo Huarahi - part of the celebrations for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2019.

We are thrilled to share the news that two of our wonderful hockey players from the year 5/6 team have been selected for the Primary Representative Development Programme! Fantastic and full effort from the two girls at their Rep trials.

Next term, we will be teaching the Keeping Ourselves Safe unit in your child’s class. This is part of a personal safety programme that all schools in New Zealand deliver. Keeping Ourselves Safe has been designed to give students the skills to cope in situations involving abuse.

To celebrate International Peace Week 2019, Milford School ran it’s annual Peace poster competition a few weeks ago.

Milford School has moved to a new school app!

Thank you so much to all the parents and school supporters who have saved Yummy Stickers and sent them into school. While this promotion goes all year, we do have to send our present collection in by the end of this term.
