Mt Pleasant School Athletics 2017

The new and improved location of Hansen Park played host to this year’s Mt Pleasant School Athletics event. Conditions were virtually ideal on the day and it proved a wonderfully unique and athletics specific venue, which I’d imagine would have been an exciting experience for many.

Let's be SMART....SUNSMART

Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) New Zealand has the highest melanoma incidence in the world. Episodes of sunburn (even just one), caused by excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) in childhood and adolescence, have been shown to cause skin damage and to increase the risk of melanoma and other skin cancers later in life. Overexposure to UVR can also cause eye damage, and can suppress the proper functioning of the immune system.

Breast Cancer Pink Walk

For the past couple of years some of the MPS staff have completed the Pink Star 5km Walk to raise money for Breast Cancer. It is a really fun event, a good chance to have a walk, catch up, dress up in pink and raise money for such a worthwhile cause.
