Southern Region Junior Development Day
Junior Development Day - Intent of the day:
The intent of the Junior Development Weekend is to provide local junior surf members an event opportunity different to our regular interclubs where it will include more ability for participant development and coaching. We encourage coaches of Junior Surf programmes to come along, get involved and assist and work with other coaches to learn and put on a really fun day!
Whilst there will be plenty of time spent in the water, there is also the intent to incorporate beach skills into the land-based activities (i.e. baton changeovers, flags techniques etc.)
We also hope to develop role models and leaders of our senior competitors from around Canterbury to help deliver and create connections, and inspire our juniors in the sport of surf life saving.
If you have any senior competitors who help regularly, are competent, and good with the kids – we want these people helping!!!
What they need:
Participants will need
- Yellow hi-vis vest
- Club beanie
- 200m badge (if required for age group, U10 +)

Arena Breakdown:
U8 – U9s
