Room 27 - Year 8 EOTC Experiences

Towards the end of Term 4 the Year 8’s had our own adventures at Adrenaline Forest and Waimarino. While at Adrenalin forest, our courage was tested, and let's be honest a bit of upper body strength too. Despite the terrible weather some classes experienced, we kept pushing through and some students even got to Level 6. We all had an amazing day out of school and a great time with our mates.

Waimarino created just as many memories for us and I’m sure we are going to remember them all. After the instructors explained the rules, we got straight into it. My team started with the balance beam, then moved to the tarzan swing. We then worked our way around the other activities. Everyone worked on getting out of their comfort zones, and most of us definitely achieved that. I mean, we went flying into the air and some even tried backflips off the high board. I don’t know about you but that would be out of most people's comfort zone. 

We all loved this amazing experience and would like to thank all the parent helpers for coming and making it happen. These Year 8 EOTC trips really are the highlight of Term 4 and we will leave OIS with lasting memories of them.
