Electronics Club

Some Year 9 students have started an electronics club. They are learning about circuit boards and soldering. They started this week with making Catherine Wheels and learning the basics. We will also be having a go at making digital dice, flashing lights, led clocks and light up Christmas trees. There are some spaces still available - come and see Mrs Bishop-Cherry if you are interested (limited to 10 members at a time).

Year 9 NZ Ballet workshop

The Royal New Zealand Ballet Education, will be holding a one hour creative dance workshop for all Year 9 students on Thursday the 12th November in our gymnasium. The workshops are for students of all ability levels, the dance educators will teach elements of the choreography from The Sleeping Beauty which is touring New Zealand at the moment, and introduce the students to elements of classical and contemporary dance. Students will be required to wear their full Queen's PE uniform which may include leggings and the Queen's warm up top.

Surfing

Jaya Reardon competed at the Aotearoa Māori Nationals last weekend up in Ahipara. The surf was big and challenging, but really warm compared to what Jaya is used to! She placed 3rd in the Under 18 division and 4th in the Open Women’s division. Well done, Jaya!
