On Tuesday 25 June we hosted Waitaki Girls' High School for the first time.

Bellyful Dunedin were extremely grateful the Queen's Interact group gave up their lunch hour to prepare the vegetables required for the monthly cook.

Last week students from Queen's High School and Tahuna Intermediate had the opportunity to be a part of a workshop run by Alexia Hilbertidou the founder of GirlBoss New Zealand.

This term Year 12 and 13 students were involved in the Loves Me-Not Programme which is run by the Police.

Thank you to all the students that supported Octacan this year. It's always nice to give back to the community.

It was great to hear students making an effort to greet others around school in a wide variety of languages during International Languages Week.

Year 11 and 12 students attended the Careers Expo. It was a great opportunity for everyone to look at potential careers and talk to tertiary institutes. Thank you to the staff who accompanied the girls for the afternoon.

On Friday the 7th of June, our Year 13 Biology class visited the Biochemistry Department for our Genetic Manipulation topic.

On 24th June, the Year 12 Biology class went down to the New Zealand Marine Studies Centre at Portobello for the day.

On Monday 17th June the Year 13 Chemistry class braved rain, icy winds and low temperatures to travel to Taieri Mouth to collect water samples for analysis.

On the 12th June a group of Year 13 English students attended the ‘Censor for a Day’ workshop at Reading Cinemas.

Over the past two months, Queen’s students have been involved in the OSSSA Cross Country series.
