Twilight Football Draw
Monday 6th November
Here is a message from Waimak Football:
Kendall Park was a hive of players and supporters on Monday night. It was so great to see, and we hope you enjoyed yourselves:
Further information:
- Please ensure you arrive at your games, and ready to play 5 minutes before your schedule game time.
- Field Numbers will be on the Goal Nets from next week onwards. This should help you to find your field easier.
- Please ensure details get to all your parents/teams so they are aware of where they need to be.
- If you are parking on Island Road, please be very aware of traffic going at 80km. Park well to the left of the road, and ensure children are fully supervised when getting out of the car. We are working with the council to get some signage up, and speed dropped, while we are at Kendall Park.
- We do not supply teams with balls, but a game ball will be on the field for each game. The referee will take this with them when they leave.
- Bibs are available at the Club Rooms if there are clash of colours.
- If you take/look after a Year 0/1/2 Team, one adult may go on the field with the team to help them play the game. You must play no part in refereeing the game, your referee will do this.
- Games are 20 minutes each way, with a 5-minute half time break. The Hooter will go off at the beginning of each round. Referees will be taking time.
- Player of the Day Certificates have arrived. These need to be picked up from the Club Rooms – there are 6 per team – one for each week. Please do not ask for more, as these are the numbers we have been given, and we don’t have any spare certificates.
- Mini Fields – Years 0/1/2 – these are one field, split into two fields. The grounds are marked. As you walk over to these fields, Field 1 is the front field and is split into A Field and B Field – 1A & 1B. This is the same for the other 3 Fields. There is no 2B. B Fields are closest to the Farmhouse, and A Fields are closest to the Turf. KP stands for Kendall Park. We will have A3 Maps along the Turf Fencing for you to check before your game, and Field Cards, will be attached to nets for ease of finding your fields. Please make sure parents have been sent the Fields Maps. Fields Below – A 1H4 B – this is 1A & 1B, A 1H3 B – this is 2A & 2B.
- Junior Fields – Years 3/4/5/6 – These are in front of the Club House, and two fields are on the Turf. KP stands for Kendall Park. Turf Fields are T1 & T2, with T1 being closest to the toilets/changing rooms. Parents/Supporters must remain behind the fences. Junior Grass Fields are in front of the Club Rooms – KP stands for Kendall Park, J2 & J3 are in the front row of the Junior Fields, and Fields J6, J7 & J8 are in the second row. We apologise for any confusion with these fields. Atticus and I were running different field numbers, and it caused a few problems on the night. There will be Field Cards attached to the Nets showing the Field Number for ease of use. The Fields are as below:
- Our Intermediate Field is I1 – just past the Junior Fields on the left-hand side – you will note they have bigger goals.
- Draws are up on the Website under Football Programmes, Twilight Football. These can be accessed by everyone.
- If you are unable to attend a game, we need to know ASAP. Please email gm@waimakunited.org.nz before 10am on the Friday before the game. This gives plenty of time to inform other teams.
- Year 3/4 & Year 5/6 – I have created a Crossover Game in a couple of the Sections. Please note, teams are placed into Sections, and these friendly games are visible in each section. It doesn’t mean there are two games, it just means the teams are crossing over Sections, and if searching for your team, by section, it will bring the game up in each Section. The Teams below have a Crossover Game this week:
- Year 3/4 – Borough Knights vs Ashley Rakauuri Magic – 5.30pm on J7
- Year 5/6 – Ashley Rakauuri United vs Ashgrove Victory – 5.30pm on J8
If you have any questions at all, please check in at the clubrooms.
