Twilight Football Week 2.
Here is a link to this week's draw... https://www.waimakunited.org.nz/summer-football/monday-night-twilight-football/draws-results
This is an email from Waimak Football...
Hello Everyone
- We now have all games in two time slots, ensuring players/parents/Coaches are home at a good time.
- We will be using Junior Fields J2, J3, J4, J5, J6, J7 for our Year 3/4 and 5/6 Games from next Monday onwards.
- Scores will only be recorded up to 8 goals difference. We will use a Mercy Rule if this happens. This means the Referee will stop the game and record the score. The team who are not winning, will be able to put up to 3 additional players on the field for the rest of the game. This is the referees decision, and it is final. The score will be recorded at the time the referee stops (an 8-goal difference) e.g., 8-0 or 9-1 etc.
- The draw is up on the Website – www.waimakunited.org.nz (Then click on summer football)
Here is another message from earlier this week...
Some information below for you/your teams:
Game Times
Please ensure your teams are at the games at least 10 minutes before their game. The game horn goes for the beginning of each game, and half time. We would like to run games on time throughout the evening.
Player of the Day Certificates
I still have some Player of Day Certificates if your Team hasn’t collected these.
Rules
We run our Competition using the Retreat Line for Years 3/4, Years 5/6, Years 7/8. Information below for your understanding. Please make sure your player is aware.
Retreat Line: https://www.mainlandfootball.co.nz/COMPETITIONS-2/Information-1/Retreating-Line-1
For our new Year 3/4 Teams moving onto the Junior Fields, we missed information for you about playing on the Junior Fields, and I am so sorry.
When playing on the Junior Fields, teams will have a Goalkeeper. Goalkeepers should be in a different colour or wear a bib, and gloves are used. You will have the Retreat Line being refereed also.
Photos
We would love photos taken by Teams during your games. If you have some good ones, please send them through to me. One of your Player of the Day next to the McDonalds sign would also be good, or with their Certificates. I will post on Tuesday afternoons. We will be taking photos, but are aware some students may not allow photos to be posted on Social Media, which is why we are asking for you to send photos in.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Thank you.
Regards
Deb Foord
