Piazzolla Trio from South Canterbury District were a awarded a Bronze at the Southland Finals following their win for the District Final.

Congratulations to Taye Goodger (Roncalli College) and Megan Pelser (Craighead Diocesan) both aged 14, who recently gained their black belts under the instruction of Megan's mother and JKA (Japan Karate Association) TImaru karate club sensei Lizelle Pelser.

Hello, my name is Yui Omori and during the July holidays, Mami Nakamura and I joined a new Plunket programme called the Plunket GPS (Giving People Support) Youth Action Team.

On 27 July the Roncalli College Z Club was inaugurated and officially named a club within Zonta International.

On 24 July, Luka Foy and Jessica Guiney were given their academic blues for reaching the standard for NCEA Level 3 endorsed with Excellence.

The GirlBoss summit definitely taught us that we should never be afraid to be hopeful, aim high and follow our dreams, regardless of what the rest of the world tells us we can do.

Roncallians battled it out with intense spirit

My learning plan for Gateway includes BCITO worksheets including carpentry, joinery, workplace safety, hand and power tools, construction materials and communication. The BCITO Training Adviser visits me at school and in the workplace to assess my work just like an apprentice.

Gateway is a really cool programme, it has helped me decide my career direction, the credits I have gained through BCITO count towards NCEA Level 2; I have gained an apprenticeship and I am really looking forward to getting started.

Keiran is on track to complete the MITO StartUp Programme with a Level 2 Automotive Micro-credential and Level 3 Automotive Engineering Micro-credential giving him a head start with 41 credits towards a future apprenticeship qualification.

All students who have cups and trophies from the 2019 College Sports Prize Giving, please return to the Sports Office as soon as possible.
