The Rotary Foundation - My Charity of Choice

THE ROTARY FOUNDATION POWERING GOOD IN THE WORLD

by Dennis Shore, Trustee The Rotary Foundation 2023-27

When Arch Klumph had his inspiration in 1917 to establish a Rotary endowment fund “for the purpose of doing good in the world” he most likely did not envisage The Rotary Foundation as it now exists – or perhaps he did! Either way he would be pleased with the outcome, even though it took longer to achieve its destiny than he would have hoped.

YOU TOO CAN HELP MAKE HISTORY

by PDG Murray Verso, End Polio Now Coordinator

In the fight to eradicate poliomyelitis from the globe, Rotary sets an annual fundraising target of US$50 million. This goal enables Rotary to receive the maximum 2:1 match of US$100 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. To reach this goal, Rotary seeks donations from Rotary districts, clubs, and individuals. If you make a personal contribution, you are helping Rotary and its partners to reach the historic milestone of polio becoming only the second disease, after smallpox, to be eradicated in the world completely.
