Volunteers Wanted for Eczema Study

Eczema Study 1  by Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi - Seatoun School

The Medical Research Institute of New Zealand, based at Wellington Hospital, is running a children's eczema study at Alexander Pharmacy (191 Willis Street, Te Aro, Wellington), as well as other community pharmacies around the country.

They are looking for volunteers aged 2-12 years with a doctor's diagnosis of eczema to test a novel mānuka oil based topical treatment. Volunteers must be able to travel to the participating pharmacy. They will be provided study treatment to apply twice daily for 6 weeks and will answer a weekly questionnaire about their eczema symptoms. Participants will return to the pharmacy six weeks later for a second visit. All study medication is provided free of charge and volunteers will be compensated for their time and travel expenses.
