Movin'March

Kia ora ... Welcome to Movin'March 2023!
Movin'March  by Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi Seatoun School

In March, Seatoun School will be celebrating the benefits of walking, biking or scootering to school by supporting the Movin’ March: Get Moving Māehe Manawa Ora campaign run by Greater Wellington.

Students can choose to undertake the WOW passport challenge. We will be encouraging children to walk, bike or scoot to school as much as possible in March. Teachers will stamp the child’s passport if they have walked, biked or scootered to school. Classes will have some spot prizes for children who have done this. Once passports have been stamped we will send the passports on to the Movin'March team at Greater Wellington and they will be eligible for other prizes. If you do not live within an appropriate distance for your child to be walking to school, you can encourage and support your child to walk from a spot closer to school.

On Thursday 23 March, we will have a celebration wheels day at school. The children will have an allocated time on that day where they can use their scooters or bikes at school.

If your child is biking or scootering to school, there are some safety tips in the 'Let’s Ride Booklet' in the PDF attached below.

More information can be found on the site: movinmarch.com

We look forward to walking, biking or scootering being a great start to each child’s day.
