Past and Present/Then & Now

We had a great turnout of parents last night to hear John Cowan speak.

Our Sherwood students have had a very successful term so far, participating in a range of activities both in and out of school.

This term the year 3's are learning about instructional writing. The purpose is to tell the reader how to do or make something.

Three lucky Sherwood students will be catching up with Damian McKenzie for a skills and drills session.

Our digital citizenship approach at Sherwood Primary is designed not only to protect our students but to teach our students what to do when things go wrong. We can protect them with filter systems and child-friendly streaming but when they are out in the real world, away from school, exploring the Internet, these things are not always in place.

Another rugby festival done and dusted for the year but not before Sherwood makes their mark!

Thanks to TERRACYCLE we have the opportunity to collect old pens and writing instruments that can earn points for our school. We are also participating in the Colgate oral health care product collection again. You can help by voting online for our school as they run a number of promotions and have prizes up for our school to win including gardening packages to help our school's Sherwood Community Enviro Garden efforts.
