Thank you to the many parishioners who supported Jo and Andrew at their special Ordination service at the Transitional Cathedral. Many commented on the strong sense of community and joyful worship led by our own lifestreams Band. Thanks to Corinne and team who coordinated and provided the morning tea, and Jill Keir who drove the parish van. It takes a parish to raise a deacon and priest, and thank you for your continuing support and prayers for them both. It was a joy too to have a good number from our parish attending Ben Truman’s installation as Dean of Christchurch, and to have our parish acknowledged as part of his faith and ministry journey. Do pray for Ben, Johannah and their family as they take up this challenging role.
December-January Mooring Post is out! Just in time for the Mooring Post Deliverers morning tea last Thursday. A big thank you to Rev Jo Cotton and Roberta Smith who spearheaded its creative content, and chivvied us along to get it in on time! We hope you enjoy a good read and share it with your neighbours. The green Christmas service schedule cards are also something you can share with family or a friend to invite them to come along with you.
Christmas Messy Church is always a big event, thanks to Angela Brown and team for telling the Christmas story anew in creative ways. Do come along tomorrow Saturday 3.30-5.30pm in the Fendall Hall.
Stephanie Sturge RIP: We are sad to share that Stephanie has died after failing health, and extend our love to John and their family. We will miss Stephanie, a faithful parishioner for many years and friend of many. Arohanui, Jenny
