In a world of heavy social media exposure where self-promotion is the norm, it is hard to identify the trait of humility in some spheres. It almost seems stolen. Perhaps it is time to be brought right up to being the most important quality needed.

On Thursday the 11th March, our Year 3-6 students enjoyed a performance of Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

The round-up of Term One culminates in four of our summer sports teams travelling around the country to attend tournaments. Rowers up at Lake Karapiro, Tennis players in Auckland, Volleyballers in Palmerston North and Water Polo players here in Christchurch.

Amongst many exciting things "world-famous in NZ" are St Margaret's Senior Tutor groups. I met up with one on Tuesday of last week so that they could tell me about what was wonderful about school and the kinds of challenges they face as they learn their way to an NCEA or IB qualification.
