St Paul’s Collegiate School’s board of trustees have appointed Mr Ben Skeen as the school’s new Headmaster. He will take up his position at the start of term two in 2021 following the retirement of incumbent headmaster, Grant Lander.

It was the battle of siblings when the Taylor twins and Robb brothers competed each other for podium finishes in the same events at the recent NZ Secondary Schools Athletics Nationals held in Tauranga. Campbell and Toby Robb, Alice and Josie Taylor and Harrison Bond represented St Paul’s athletics team and achieved some great results despite battling dense humidity and blustery winds.

St Paul’s are delighted to announce the following students have been offered scholarships at universities around the world.

A recent assembly acknowledged and celebrated the mission, outreach and service portfolio at St Paul's.

The NZ Crossfit Nationals were held at the Velodrome over 5-6 December. This is NZ’s largest and only national CrossFit competition that brings together the top 256 athletes from around the country to compete and determine who is the fittest in NZ.

Emergence' - an art exhibition featuring a wide range of work of St Paul's students in NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 - was a resounding success with a number of these art pieces selling out!

Ricki and Kale Herbert will be operating the Ricki Herbert Football Academy at St Paul’s Collegiate School from 2021.

St Paul’s prize giving ceremony was held the at Chapel of Christ the King on Saturday 5 December. Congratulations to all of the prize winners. Below is a list of the special prize winners.

Friday 6 November saw the tenure of one of our long-serving staff, Mr Andrew Gibbs, came to an end.

Jack Cunningham-Moffat has just entered his first season of Speedway New Zealand motorsports. He is racing a ministock (11R) and is contracted to Rotorua.

The service team at St Paul's recently hosted the fourth annual Refugee Christmas Party here at school.

The evening of Friday 27 November was the time for our Year 10 enterprise studies students to show off the hard work they have put in since the start of term three with the Enterprise Product Launch.

We farewell Maree Johns, matron of Clark House. In her 18 months here at St Paul’s, she has mastered some complex processes and systems, and at the same time developed strong working relationships with a variety of different staff members.

We say farewell to Daniel Harper, who joined the staff in 2017 and has become as a revered member of the physical education department. From his arrival at St Paul’s, Mr Harper (Harps) has brought enthusiasm to PE and was always motivated to do the best for the students.

We say farewell to Lee Elliott, whose association with St Paul’s stretches over 38 years, but the past eight years she has been the school’s ESOL (English as a second language) teacher for our international students.

Roger Bell leaves us to take on retirement after 18 years as head of biology at St Paul’s. He has also coached swimming, boys’ and girls’ football and been assistant housemaster of Harington Day House.

Congratulations to St Paul’s Junior White cricket team who won their last game of the season.

Jack Caldwell was recently awarded an Honours Cap for his service to the 1st XI football team at St Paul's. Below is the citation for his award:
