Reporting

This year, we’re excited to use Hero to provide live updates on your child’s learning journey. Through the App, you’ll receive regular learning posts covering core curriculum areas—reading, writing, and maths—as well as our special character subject, Religious Education (RE). In addition to these updates, we will formally report twice a year on your child’s progress in our MacKillop values, key competencies, and overall learning development, including general comments from their teacher. These reports will also highlight your child’s achievements in relation to the curriculum progressions. You’ll be able to access all reports conveniently through the Hero app, with formal reports available at the start of Term 2 and Term 4. We look forward to sharing and celebrating your child’s growth with you!

If you don’t understand the information provided in your child’s report, or you have concerns about their achievement, contact their teacher to talk about it. Useful questions to ask include:

Does my child participate (take part) well in class?
Is my child progressing as expected?
What do they do well?
What do they need help with?
What can I do to help?
Does my child seem settled at school? How do they get along with others?
Are there any areas for concern?
What will they learn next?
What's the best way to contact you if I want to follow up on anything we've talked about?
