Although the rain was torrential on Monday 25 July, for the arrival of our new international students from Hong Kong, Germany, Japan and Vietnam, nothing could stop the excitement of welcoming them to our college.

The New Zealand Physics and Maths Competition (NZPMC) North Island final was held at Auckland University on 11July.

The 40 Hour Famine is always a highly anticipated event at Tauranga Girls’ College and 2022 was another fantastic year of fundraising and raising awareness.

To be or not to be – that is the question; As part of their Level 2 Internal, on the nights of August 1 and 2, our Yr 12 Drama Class performed their Yr 12 Production - 'Ophelia Thinks Harder' - in the school hall where they were able to showcase their acting talents in front of staff, friends and family.

At the start of the school holidays many of our talented ākonga competed at the Tauranga Performing Arts Competitions Society Singing Competition.

Tauranga Girls' College was well represented by 9 students at NZSS Swimming Championships 28-31 July held at Waterworld Hamilton.
