In the July school holidays, our 9A and 10A Netball teams travelled to Christchurch to compete in the South Island championships.

Feeling Stressed?

On the 1st of July, way too early in the morning some of our TGHS students taking French, gathered outside the school office, piled high with blankets and pillows, and sleepwalked into the vans.

This year TGHS once again entered a team in the local Jump Jam Extravaganza.

The Timaru Girls' High School kapa haka students have worked alongside girls from Woodbury School to teach them a Waiata and a Haka which they then shared at their own school's Matariki Evening.

Our U15 rugby team have been so lucky this year to have John Gregan and Hamish Fitzgerald giving up their time and sharing their expertise with our players.

Week 2 of this term was Science Week. This was a week to celebrate all things Science and get students involved in a range of Science based activities.

Throughout Term 1 & 2, our Year 9 students participated in the Become.Me Careers Education Programme.

Term 2 and 3 have been busy with various events to support students' career planning.

Term 3 is a busy one for students, whether it’s selecting school subjects for next year, applying for tertiary courses or looking into employment opportunities.

The Timaru Girls’ High School PTA (Parent Teacher Association) have completed another successful Grocery Grab fundraiser for 2022.

In Term Two we had a phenomenal combined effort within the school and our wider community to fundraise for the 40 Hour Famine.

The Green and Black Supporters Club in conjunction with Jaico Limited, have donated $1,000 to TGHS Rugby

This is a course ideal for those parents who are having a hard time handling their children/teenagers, and whose children may be exhibiting ADHD type behaviour, or be on the aspergers continuum (or just plain hard work).
