This term we held our annual NCEA Awards ceremony for those students who received Endorsements in 2022.

What a busy start to the year!

Thank you to all the Staff, students and whanau who were involved and participated in either the organisation or the events of Athletics day. It was an awesome day for all. We especially thank the PE department for once again putting on a magnificent event for all. Place holders will be published in the next newsletter.

Some of our students have been working with esteemed Christchurch artist Lio Fasi on a mural today.

The whole school visited the Aspire to Inspire event recently.

Senior students create portfolios of art built up over the course of the whole year and then submit these for external NCEA assessment.

After almost three years of interrution the International Department at Westland High School is welcoming more students for 2023.

A date has been set for Secondary school teachers to strike nationwide.

Great news - our library will soon be fully open for borrowing and as a sole learning space (no admin) for the first time since the fire in 2016!

Raising responsible teenagers is a wonderful, but sometimes exasperating, experience. Fortunately, there is good advice available to help you get through those low points which is free through the Triple P Parenting online programme.

Whakawhanaungatanga is the process of building relations and connections with others.

The Senior students were invited to attend a Leadership day at the start of the year.

The West Coast Trades Academy provides an extensive range of course for our students to engage in each year.

Breakfast club is back up and running again. Students can come for breakfast in the hall between 8.15am and 8.45am.
